How we select

Light is sized to the standard, not by counting lamps.

For a workshop, warehouse or office, the required illuminance is set first; then the number of luminaires is calculated from the floor area, mounting height and surface reflectance. That shows at once whether a quotation is double or half what is needed.

At home, light goes in layers: general, task and accent, with a colour temperature to suit the room. LED strip is selected together with its profile and a power supply with a 20 % margin.

Colour temperature

One room. Five shades of white.

Colour temperature is the first thing agreed in a lighting specification. Move the slider: the same living room from 2700 to 6500 K.

Power supply for LED strip

Length × watts per metre × 1.2 — and the standard power-supply rating.

The 20 % margin is mandatory: at its limit a power supply runs hot and fails sooner. The supply voltage must match the strip — 12, 24 or 48 V.

    How many lux does a workshop, warehouse or office need?
    Reference values from DBN V.2.5-28 (the Ukrainian lighting standard) and EN 12464-1: warehouses and aisles — 100–200 lx, general work in a workshop — 200–300 lx, offices and precision assembly — 500 lx. Send a plan with ceiling heights and the type of work, and we select luminaires to the standard and the budget.
    Which colour temperature should I choose?
    2700–3000 K — housing, hotels, restaurants; 4000 K — offices, sales floors, kitchens; 5000–6500 K — workshops, warehouses, quality-control areas. Keep one shade and the same CRI within a room, or the difference will show on walls and goods.
    Will you assemble a batch of luminaires for a site?
    Yes. For a site we assemble a batch of one series and colour temperature, align delivery with the installation schedule and propose technically comparable equivalents if the model you need is short. We accept project specifications and mixed lists of lighting, cable and electrical items.
    Which power supply does an LED strip need?
    Length × watts per metre × 1.2, rounded up to a standard rating; the supply voltage matches the strip: 12, 24 or 48 V. For damp areas take a sealed IP67 unit, for a switchboard a DIN-rail supply. The calculator on this page does the sum for you.
    Do you have drivers and repair kits for luminaire repairs?
    Yes: drivers, LED matrices, lenses, thermal and soldering materials are in the “Matrices, drivers, repair kits” section, and repair kits for panels in commercial and office lighting. If the driver you need is missing, we select one by current, voltage and dimensions.
